Sorry jumping ahead without an intro.
I have been interested in making things all
my life. In the past 20 years or so I have been dabbling in fixing PCs, soldering, electronics (very basic), hobby Robotics, programming (Python), 3D printing, HAM Radio, High Altitude Balloon Flights (first Primary school in Devon to launch (and recover a HAB), with the help of the Appledore Distrct HAM Radio Club.Ssecond launch involved sending an Action Man into the upper atmosphere. Tinkered with Raspberry Pis on many digital making projects. Took part in Pi Wars twice (non destructive Robotics challenge).
I used to attend the Barnstaple Pi Jam frequently, but not so much lately. I always wanted a club in our area where like minded people could get together and thought the Barnstaple FabLab was the answer, however was saddened when they took the decision to close what was a fantastic facility much needed in the area.
in the end I built my own (see other post), but due to work and life commitments, it has never become what I dreamt it would be.
Oh I also restored a classic Mini and taught myself to weld, fabricate and spray paint. Currently finishing off a Dalek build!!
